Hyak Motorsports is an American Professional stock car racing team that currently competes in the NASCAR Cup Series. The name “Hyak” means “fast” in Chinook Jargon. The team is owned by Gordon Smith, Mark Hughes, NASCAR professional Ernie Cope along with former NBA All-Star center Brad Daugherty. The team currently has a technical alliance with Hendrick Motorsports and is housed in a 130,000 square foot facility in Harrisburg, NC. Hyak currently fields the No. 47 Chevrolet full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series with driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
