HYAK MOTORSPORTS TEAM

Newly rebranded Hyak Motorsports is ready to bring a fresh look to the already exciting 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season with Ricky Stenhouse Jr and the No. 47 team. Formerly known as JTG Motorsports, Hyak Motorsports rebranded during the offseason under the leadership of Gordon Smith, who became the principal owner on November 18, 2023. He now co-owns the team with Brad Daugherty, Mark Hughes, and Ernie Cope. The word “Hyak” means “fast” in Chinook Jargon, which is a trade language of the Pacific Northwest that incorporates terms from Chinook, Chehalis, and many other local languages. The ownership transition promises to fuel Hyak Motorsports with a competitive edge by enhancing its approach to performance, innovation, and fan engagement starting in the 2025 season.
